Speakers include Howard Dodson, Director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture; Andrew Heiskell, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the New York Public Library; Vartan Gregorian, President of the New York Public Library; Edward Koch, Mayor of the City of New York; Toni Morrison, author; Ossie Davis, actor. Andrew Heiskell introduces the Harlem Opera Society who perform "Jubilee Spirituals."
