One of a series of handmade books published by Ediciones Vigía.
"Con esta plaquette Vigía recuerda los sesenta años de la aparición del poema Canto a Matanzas"--Container.
The poem is printed on a single sheet (ca. 100 x 20 cm) folded and affixed to the inside of the container. The container is a single folded sheet of stiff paper with hand-painted color decorations on both sides. The exterior shows a view of the San Carlos de Borromeo Cathedral in Matanzas; the interior is a picture of Carilda Oliver Labra made with paper cutouts and netting. The container sheet is folded twice to form a portfolio. A tab is attached to the exterior to close the container.
