Summary
An instructional dance video featuring N'deye Gueye, a professional dancer from Senegal, teaching the social dance, Kaolack. The video attempts to give the student a sense of the basic steps and rhythm from which the dancer can then develop their own personal style. Accompaniment is given by a family of griots/drummers from Senegal, their language of the drum is as important to the dance as the movements.
