- One review of Obskene by Sidney Goldfarb and Lizzie Okesker, who adapted classical messenger monologues describing violent events that took place offstage in ancient Greek tragedies. There were also futuristic speeches in the same vein by playwrights Paul Zimet, Ellen Maddow, Marcus Gardley, David Greenspan, John Jesurun, and Deb Margolin. This Talking Band presentation opened Nov. 8, 2012, at HERE Arts Center, 145 Sixth Avenue, New York, N.Y. Obskene is the Greek word for offstage.
