- "This translation of the Catâechisme du diocáese de Quâebec is attributed to Wzokhilain on the authority of Dr. J. Hammond Trumbull. It is quite certain, however, that the version is of a much older date. The Lord's prayer and Angelical salutation on pages 9-10 are identical with the specimens given by Father Vetromile in the third edition of the Indian good book (New York, 1858), pages 578-579, from an "ancient manuscript" in the pure Abnaki language."--J. C. Pilling, Bibl. of Algonquian languages, page 539.
- Pages 1-8 contain alphabet, numerals, etc.
