  • Issue no. 1 contains contribution by Kupferberg (film scenario for “1001 Ways to Make Love” and poem “Declining Lie”) and interview of Ed Sanders, editor of Fuck You magazine; with centerspread of photographs of Nepal and the government-run hashish store.
  • Barbara Gladstone contributes “To the Otherside From the Underside,” a feminist manifesto.
  • When the rock group The Fugs broke up temporarily, one of its chief members, Tuli Kupferberg, formed a satirical theatrical group called the Revolting Theater. It was active in the early 1970s, performing at college campuses throughout the Northeast U.S. and Canada. Kupferberg continued to use the name for solo performances. In 1992, he and Lannes Kenfield founded the bi-weekly cable-television show “Revolting News” on Manhattan Neighborhood Network. The show was produced by Norman Savitt from 1994 to November 2003, when Thelma Blitz took over as producer. (Ken Lopez, Bookseller).
