- "Identification of the hydrogen maser design parameters include the shape of the bulk, q (quality parameter), tuning factors, materials to be used, and operational temperature to offset the wall shift. Expressions for the statistic error on the measured frequency were derived. Localized variations in the concentration of excited atoms were studied and how the shape of the container (the ratio of surface to volume in particular) affects their behavior."--NTIS abstract.
