Summary

Contains 18 poems and 18 color lithographs on opposite pages. Illustrations contain geometrically formed figures, constructed largely with horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. Subjects include a butterfly, chickens, starlings, a goat, a child playing with toys, a pig, the spray truck, a merman, a garbage collector, lambs, children playing with a top, a sunbeam in an interior, a wagtail, a cow and a sheep in the pasture, a reading girl sitting on the edge of an Easter basket, rain, games in the snow and Santa Claus.
