Summary
  • Poems by Ganzo and images by Fautrier, inspired by the Paleolithic figurine known as the Venus of Lespugue, which was excavated near Lespugue, France, in 1922 and is at present in the Musée de l'homme, Paris.
  • Consists of 13 bifolia in two-leaf gatherings, printed on rectos of leaves only; the blank versos are included in the paging. The leaf following the dedication (counted in paging as pages 5-6) and the last leaf are blank; last leaf not counted in collation, above. The text is printed in black and bistre, the lithographs in black and shades of gray, bluish-gray and violet-gray. There are 10 full-page lithographs and one smaller lithograph.
