Summary

History of the National Palace (Palacio Nacional), the seat of the federal executive in Mexico located on Mexico City's main square, the Plaza de la Constitución (El Zócalo. This site has been a palace for the ruling class of Mexico since the Aztec empire, and much of the current palace's building materials are from the original one that belonged to Moctezuma II houses. Considered one of the most notable buildings in the city of Mexico, not only for its location, dimensions and artistic elements, but for being the scene of many of the political, economic, social and cultural changes of the country. The monumental work documents with expert texts and full color images the progress of a notable building not only because of the powers it has hosted, but because of its own historic, aesthetic and architectural importance.
