Summary
Valerie Belgrave is a Trinidadian writer and visual artist. Belgrave was well known in the 80's as a batik artist and later a painter. She held many one-woman exhibitions, displays and fashion shows locally and abroad and was also featured in such international fora as The International Review of African American Art, Class and Panache Magazines, and on the BBC's Clothes Show. This beautiful book presents a wealth of examples and information on Belgrave's work from her earliest period to her most recent painting that was featured in the National Women's exhibition held in 2011 at the National Museum.
