- "Chicha is a hybrid of peasant folk music and psychedelic rock that is popular in the impoverished urban neighborhoods of Peru. In the mid-eighties Nicolás Torres began photographing wild Chicha parties, in Cajamarquilla, a poor community of shantytowns on the outskirts of Lima, where thousands of working class kids would gather to party every night of the week"--Publisher's website.
