- Summary
- Illustrations: 7 prints : etchings with aquatint ; full-page (plate marks 32 x 21 cm). Each contains a cutout through the top layer of the double leaf. There are also 9 pages of engraved text; plate marks 32 x 21 cm.
- Engraved throughout; all text handwrtitten by Wilmarth.
- Printed on double leaves with inside surfaces glued together. Poems and prints on opposite pages.

- "The seven poems are printed in a signed and numbered edition of thirty, of which ten have been bound into books"--Colophon. There were also six artist's proofs, numbered in roman.
- This record describes the bound copies.
- "The paper is 200 pound Crisbrook h.p. and was made in 1970 by the J.B. Green Company, England. The printing was done in New York by Mohammad Omer Khalil. The cases are by Four Hands Bindery, New York. Images, handwriting and book design are by Christopher Wilmarth"--Colophon.
- Forms part of Wilmarth's "Breath" project, comprising prints, sculptures and drawings inspired by these poems. The complete project was exhibited at Wilmarth's Studio for the First Amendment, New York, N.Y., May 1-29, 1982; catalog published under title "Breath : inspired by seven poems of Stéphane Mallarmé translated by Frederick Morgan" (New York, New York : Christopher Wilmarth, 1982).
