Summary

Consists of 44 bifolia; the first and last are single, the others make up 21 four-leaf gatherings. First bifolium contains title page and a blank leaf. Each of the first twenty 4-leaf gatherings contains a text by one of the contributors (the "Erice statement" issued jointly by Zichichi, Dirac and Kapit︠s︡a is in a single gathering), reproduced in the original language in engraved facsimile of handwriting and/or typescript, with, on facing page, a full-page photolithographic reproduction of a drawing by Manzù; contains also a biographical note, a note on the drawing and a transcription or translation of the text, with all letterpress in Italian and English; on first recto is the contributor's name and a reproduction of a larger version of the cover bas-relief. Last 4-leaf gathering is titled "Authentica" and contains a Manzù drawing, facsimile autographs of the participants and the colophon. Last bifolium contains image of the Manzù sculpture known as "Mother and child," presented to the United Nations in 1989, and information on the "Comitato promatore, Promoting committee" and list of sponsoring bodies. Title page and colophon printed in dark red. Bifolia with illustrations bear two blind stamps: "Acquatinta eau-forte etching gravure" (page 2, lower left) and "Manzu Pacem te poscimus omnes" (page 3, lower right).
