- The letter of transmittal from the Treasury Department is signed by SecretaryAlbert Gallatin and addressed to the speaker of the House of Representatives. Includes also a large folded table with title "Treasury Department, Register's Office, 10th February, 1804. Abstract of the tonnage of the shipping of the several districts of the United States, and of recorded vessels, on the last day of December, 1802" and the register's explanatory letter, both signed by Joseph Nourse.
