Summary

A selection of objects and large format paintings of recent creation where Ignacio Irrutia (b. Montevideo 1949) plays with all the elements of his childhood and his fantasies. Iturria finds in his latest production a creative freedom from his experiences, imagination and dreams, expressed in "a game that takes him to dialogue with artists such as (Joaquín) Torres Garcia, (Pedro) Figari, (Carlos Federico) Saez, (Philip) Guston, (Pablo) Picasso, but also with comic characters like 'Little Lulu", "Dagwood Bumstead", with plastic toys and tin toy soldiers, with color and structure, with matter and space."
