- "Justyna Koeke transforms childhood fantasies into portable sculptures, fashion shows in performances. As a child, the artist, together with her sisters, painted her heroines, princesses and saints, which she now has transferred into reality as a collection of brightly colored outfits full of bizarre details. On the bodies of old ladies the tailor-made fantasies come to life. The publication presents the entire spectrum of the project: from childlike, unconstrained drawings to photographs of the costumed models in front of the sterile backdrop of their senior citizens' residencies and the lifelike fashion shows. A humorous as well as a critical approach to the context of childhood dreams and the age of reality, in which the unresolved questions of an aging society always resonate. The art project between sculpture, performance and allusions to the fashion world was shown among other things at the alternative Berlin Fashion Week"--Publisher's description.
