Summary
Study on the pieces that were manufactured between 1930 and 1952, meticulously painted by hand, at the Fabric of Ceramics in Lota by designers and artists from Chile and abroad and that are now collector's items. The glazed pottery factory operated in conjunction with coal mining. "The pottery of Lota began to be developed in 1852, amidst the coal mining production of the Coal and Industrial Company of Lota Each figure was produced in series from a mold; however each piece was decorated and painted by a woman"--Page [8].
