Summary

The chapters of this book present the main typologies of the Jewish space from Solomon's Temple to the Internet community: real forms of organization and representation of Jewish "community space" in relation to historical evolution (Temple, synagogue, Jewish district, shtetl, community center) and virtual forms virtual community space, community on the Internet). The development of the community spirit begins with the pastoral life of biblical times, evolving into more and more original formulas that will initially materialize through ritual elements with a coagulating role (the Tent of Testimony with the Tabernacle and later the Temple of Solomon) and will achieve synthesis, after the spread of the Jews in the Diaspora, generating the emergence of specific Jewish spaces, an expression of community life (increasingly active), true "urban" typologies (living, administering and civic relations) - Jewish neighborhoods - the ghetto - the shtetl. The revival and revitalization of the communities following the Shoah brought about a strong resuscitation in the last two decades of the twentieth century and first decade of the 21st century, particularly visible through the spread of community centers in Europe and Jewish cultural centers (as "program architecture"--An interpretation and adaptation of the American model to European space and tradition) and the influence of digital culture.
