- Summary
- In-site designed performance OCTOPIA, a project by artist Eduardo Navarro (Buenos Aires, 1979), that brings together 80 dancing participants to collectively become an Octopus (the most intelligent invertebrate), through an exploration of movement and body sensitivity in a holistic dance. The book presents a photographic essay of the project. It includes a conversation between the artist and curators Manuela Moscoso and Daniela Pérez, in which Eduardo explains how he conceived the project ex profeso for the Tamayo Museum and his curiosity to provoke a reaction of this animal, activated with the holistic energy of the volunteers. The book also documents Navarro's most significant projects, as well as an essay by Chus Martínez, who analyzes the role of the mutation that this artist has experienced in his practice over time.
