Summary
Retrospective on abstract painter, muralist and sculptor Rogelio Polesello (b. Buenos Aires, 1939-2014), dedicated to his early works: monotypes, temperas, mixed media works, and acrylic objects. Through a selection of 120 works, the show addresses aspects of his art that have yet to be studied in depth: specifically, his interest in the art-design-industry triad and in the multiple relationships between various forms of art. "The exhibition "Polesello joven 1958-1974" at the MALBA encompasses the first sixteen years of the artist's development, a foundatorial moment in a career that lasted over half a century. In 1958, he was just twenty years old; in 1974 at the age of thirty-five, he was still young."--Page 21.
