- "This album is a record of public gardens that still survive and others that were lost at the time, in what is now known as historic downtown of the city of Mexico. This testimony about iconic areas and sites of great significance for the history of the old capital town offers 63 drawings of historic gardens, which will serve as a starting point to reflect on what we've done with our natural environment, the built heritage and, finally, with the urban image of the great Metropolitan Headquarters. In this regard, we must take into account that the history and the art of the garden in Mexico is a discipline of study just being built in our country. In this regard, it is worth to disclose this graphics memory, for general knowledge of the cultural landscape and to support future research work." (HKB Translation) --
