• Libretto by M.-J.-B. Favart, Charles-Simon Favart, and Jean-Baptiste Lourdet de Santerre, after Marmontel's Annete et Lubin (first published in the 1761 edition of his Contes moraux). Cf. Preface.
• Music by Blaise consists of arrangements of popular melodies as well as original numbers (nos. 1, 3, 11, 16, 22, 23a?, and 25).
• First performed in Paris at the Comédie-Italienne (Hôtel de Bourgogne), 15 February 1762.
