  • "'Seek and find' is the third of the serial stories published in 'Our boys and girls,' where it appeared as the sequel of 'Breaking away.'"--Preface, pages 5, dated at Harrison Square, Mass., November 29, 1867. The title "Freaks of fortune" was apparently later designated the second item in this series, making "Seek and find" the fourth.
