- Programs (1889 - 1933) for Macbeth by William Shakespeare mainly in England and the United States documenting a range of performances from the late 19th to the early 20th Century, including Henry Irving and Ellen Terry, Helena Modjeska and Joseph Haworth, and Johnston Forbes Robertson and Mrs. Patrick Campbell. Of note in this lot of several dozen playbills and programs is George C. Tyler's production at the Knickerbocker Theatre (NY) designed by Gordon Craig starring Lynn Harding and Florence Reed; H. K. Ayliff's modern dress production at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
- A program for Arthur Bourchier's production at the Garrick Theatre (London) starring Sydney Valentine and Violet Vanbrugh is part of the Stead Collection.
- Item 15 is a program for the French opera Macbeth, with music by Ernest Bloch and a libretto by Edmond Fleg, at the Théâtre National de l'Opéra Comique (Paris), starring Henri Albers and Lucienne Bréval.
- Cover art on a program for James K. Hackett's "Shakespearan Tercentenary" production at the Criterion Theatre (NY), starring himself and Viola Allen, is a photograph of John Quincy Adams Ward's bronze sculpture of William Shakespeare in Central Park. The production was stage managed by Irving Pichel.
