- Fritz Boscovits, genannt Bosco, hat mit mehr als 3000 Karikaturen die humoristisch- satirische Wochenzeitschrift ±Nebelspalter? während 72 Jahren mitgeprägt - von 1889 bis 1961. Mal bissig, mal liebevoll kommentierte er mit verschmitztem Humor die politischen und gesellschaftlichen Ereignisse seiner Zeit, von Kaiser Wilhelm bis zum Atomzeitalter. Bosco war aber nicht nur Karikaturist, sondern auch ein begabter Maler. Das spiegelt sich im breiten Spektrum seiner Zeichnungen für den Nebelspalter - von kunstvollen Jugendstil-Illustrationen fürs Titelbild bis zu knappen, mit sicherem Strich geführten Charakterisierungen von Menschen und Situationen. Regula Schmid, Urenkelin von Fritz Boscovits, erzählt in kurzer Form von seinem Leben und Schaffen. Anschliessend führen rund 70 Karikaturen und Kurztexte durch das breit gefächerte, intellektuell und ästhetisch anregende Werk von Bosco.
