- About four dozen programs and playbills (1868 - 1905) for Much ado about nothing by William Shakespeare documenting performances by a range of actors from the late-19th to the early 20th century in England and the United States, including regional and amateur productions. Includes L. R. Shewell and Annie Clarke (Boston); a number of performances by Henry Irving and Ellen Terry, a few with a young Gordon Craig in a small role (London); Helena Modjeska with Eben Plympton, Otis Skinner, and Joseph Haworth (New York and Boston); F.R. Benson and Constance Featherstonhaugh, billed as "Mrs. F. R. Benson" (Shakespeare Memorial Theatre Stratford-Upon-Avon); and Ada Rehan (New York and Boston). Of note is "The Buckstone Benefit" at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket (London), a week-long series of performances starring Barry Sullivan and Rose Eytinge in aid of the ailing actor John Baldwin Buckstone who has subsequently been reported as a ghost at the theatre; H. M. Tennent in a production by the OUDS (Oxford University Dramatic Society).
