- About three dozen programs (1870 - 1915) for Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare documenting performances by a range of actors of the late 19th and early 20th century in the United States and England including Edwin Booth, Richard Mansfield, Robert Mantell, Fuller Mellish, Frederick Warde, and Thomas F. Tracey, the latter two in different productions at the Potter Theatre (Santa Barbara, Ca.). Of note are a number of productions in Boston, including at the Boston Stage Society.
- Items 1, 9, and 31 are part of the Townsend Walsh Collection.
- Item 3 is a program for the Boston Theatre, then under the management of Junius Brutus Booth, Jr.
- Item 4 is a program for John McCullough's production at the Olympic Theatre (St. Louis, Mo.), a "Testimonial Benefit in behalf of the Children of the late Alonzo William Slayback...Thursday, October 26th, 1882."
- Items 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, and 24, programs for performances at Her [or His] Majesty's Theatre (London), then managed by Herbert Beerbohm Tree who also appeared on stage, are part of the Stead Collection.
- Item 12, a program for the 1898 performance of "The Great Star Triumvirate" tour of Louis James, Kathryn Kidder, and Frederick Warde at the Bijou Theatre (Brooklyn, N.Y.), contains advertising for Macy's and Bloomingdale's department stores.
- Cover art on item 17, a program for Richard Mansfield's 1902 performance at the Olympic Theatre (St. Louis, Mo.), contains advertising for the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, known as the St. Louis World's Fair.
