- Title is xylographic, forming part of the title page woodcut.
- The traditional attribution to the Carmelite Henry Parker (see Dictionary of National Biography and Cambridge bibliography of English literature) was refuted by H.G. Richardson in Notes and queries, series 11, v. 4 (1911), pages 321-323. For further discussion, see Richardson, H.G. - First printed by Richard Pynson without illustrations, London, 1493; the present edition is based on Pynson's, which followed Bodleian Library Ms. Eng.th.d.36. See introduction by Priscilla Heath Barnum to Dives and pauper, 1976-2004 (v. 2, pages lxxv-lxxvi).
- Imprint from colophon (page [390]) which reads: "Here endeth a compendyouse treatyse dyalogue of diues and pauper. That is to saye, the ryche & the poore fructuously treatynge vpon the x co[m]mau[n]dementes, fynysshed the iij daye of Decembre. The yere of our Lorde God MXXXXlxxxxvi. Emprentyd by me Wyken de Worde at Westmonstre. Deo gracias.

- Printed in 2 columns. Gothic types (Duff, plates xiv and vxi); a3r: 41 lines; 194 x 137 mm.
- Illustrations: 5 full-page woodcuts, comprising the title cut (Hodnett 464; Pollard: Morgan, v. 3, page 208), with xylographic caption as above, repeated between Tabula and text and on verso of last leaf; a cut of St. Jerome (Hodnett 800 and fig. 22) on verso of title page, which had appeared in de Worde's 1495 edition of St. Jerome's Vitas patrum, and a cut of the Virgin and Child (Hodnett 463; Pollard: Morgan, v. 3, page 200) on recto of last leaf, which had appeared in de Worde's 1494 edition of Hylton's Scala perfectionis. Woodcut and ornamental initials in several sizes; lombards. Caxton's device (McKerrow, R.B. Printers' & publishers' devices in England & Scotland, 1485-1640, entry 1, figure 1b) on verso of penultimate leaf (page [390]).
