Summary
Collection of writings on the life and work of Frantz Fanon (1925-1961), a "Martinique-born French psychiatrist, philosopher, revolutionary, and writer whose works are influential in the fields of post-colonial studies, critical theory, and Marxism." Fanon supported the Algerian war of independence from France, and was a member of the Algerian National Liberation Front. His works include Peau noire, masques blancs (1952), L'an v [i.e., cinq] de la Révolution algérienne (1959), Les damnés de la terre (1961), Pour la révolution africaine (1964).
