Summary

An emphasis on the notion of the surface, based on the famous words of Paul Valéry (1871-1945), as well as a meeting of different time frames, are expensive to produce ideas Thiago Honório and can be seen in the artist's works as Documents [2] (2012), ready-to-wear [3] (2013) or Penca [4](2014), for example. Note, clearly, collection procedures, ownership, cutting, assembly, grading, editing, sorting and assembling these works despite different languages. Such notions can also be understood in the whole production of the artist as recurring elements in it, presenting this or that way, this or that work, getting this or that face, so to speak, not giving up a free transit between languages. {[()]} - braces, brackets and parentheses - not without accent a transition between inside and outside, between what is saved or lost forever. The arrangement can also be understood as a 'painting' revealed by the variety of colors and surfaces that line the inside and outside of these cases, boxes and showcases. They are many surfaces: paper, wood, metal, leather, suede, satin, linen, velvet and silk; various prints and colors: blue, violet, purples, oranges, greens and others. The book work {[()]} has then from its folds and creases, a kind of alternating game and successive contrasts between worn and new surfaces, which also show, by their cavities, reliefs and recesses a void: the absence of the object. This project can be understood also as a split in the strictest sense of the term of previous work by the artist. As you know, there is much the book taken as a locus of production of another space-time experience which has been explored by various artists. The book-work {[()]} will resume these issues from a meeting in different time frames - an empty showcase 1840, for example, living next to another from 2015 to - he brings in his body, urging them to a debate. -- Publisher's website
