  • Twenty-two programs (1837 - 1937) documenting performances of Cymbeline by William Shakespeare in the United States and England, the bulk during the early 20th century, including Helena Modjeska; Margaret Mather; Henry Irving and Ellen Terry with Gordon Craig in a small role; Viola Allen; Sybil Thorndike; E.H. Sothern and Julia Marlowe. Of note is Harold Bassage's production at Bard College with Harvey Fite, John Steinway, Frank Wigglesworth, and Hurd Hatfield in the cast.
  • Item 1, an issue of The Theatrical Observer and Daily Bills of the Play, May 31, 1837, is part of the Stead Collection.
  • Items 5 and 6, programs for Henry Irving's performance at the Royal Lyceum Theatre (London), cite the Irish novelist Bram Stoker as manager. Item 6 is part of the Stead Collection.
  • Item 9, a program for an 1899 production at Wallack's Theatre, contains advertising for Bloomingdale's and Macy's Department Stores.
  • Maud Gill, reputed to be the first female stage manager in England, is cited in item 16, the program for H.K. Ayliff's 1923 modern dress production by the Birmingham Repertory Company starring Eileen Beldon.
  • Item 20, a program for George Bernard Shaw's adaptation produced in 1937 at the Embassy Theatre (London), includes his "Collaborator's Note" on "[t]he practice of altering Shakespeare's plays".
