Programs (1914-1929) for Under Cover by Roi Cooper Megrue documenting the original Broadway production, tours, and subsequent revivals.
Item 1 is a program for a 1915 production at the White Theatre (Fresno, Calif.) starring H. B. Warner and William Courtleigh, Jr.
Item 2, a program for a production at the Strand Theatre (London) around 1917, starring Matheson Lang and Arthur Pusey, is part of the Stead Collection.
Item 10, a program for a 1915 production at the Oliver Theatre (Lincoln, Neb.), contains advertising for the Mack Sennett film Tillie's Punctured Romance starring Marie Dressler, Mabel Normand, and Charles Chaplin; the program for a performance of Daddy Long Legs by Jean Webster starring Henry Miller; and the program for a screening of travelogues by Lyman H. Howe.
Item 12, a program for a 1915 production at the Lexington Theatre (N.Y.), contains advertising, with excerpted language, from Charles Thaddeus Terry's Uniform State Laws in the United States: "Rights of citizens should be uniform throughout the various states..."
Item 15, a program for a 1928 production by the Sun Dramatic and Operatic Society at King George's Hall (London), is part of the Stead Collection. The program is decorated with the Society's logo, a 16 point Compass Rose.
