Summary
Artists' book celebrating music copyists, who are employed by the music industry to produce neat copies from a composer or arranger's manuscript, and thus are responsible for interpreting the composer's intentions. Among the Matanzas artists highlighted are Sigfrido Anastasio Tortoló Carrillo; Sergio Pichardo López; Rafael Somavilla; Betsy C. de la Victoria Macón; y Marta Valdés. Examples of their work are also included: "La perla: canción;" "La mulata rosa;" "Guarda esta flor;" "Danzón 71;" "Contigo en la distancia;" "Noche cubana;" and "A mis viejos."
