- Summary
- At the outbreak of the War of the Pacific, the Peruvian military strategic approach demanded to concentrate our military power in the south, for which the Navy had to carry out three operational strategic efforts: a) keep open the maritime communications lines between Callao and that area ; b) transport and sustain military power in it; and c) contribute to the defense of the coastline. This book analyzes these three efforts, and the one that also suited the Navy or its members in land operations from Pisagua to Huamachuco.
