Neitz [also known as Alan James], Jess Robbins, and Edward Sedgwick. Personal images include the homes of Marshall and his wife, the screenwriter Marion Fairfax; Marshall in uniform as a member of the Lasky Home Guard [Unit 51 of the California National Guard, made up of employees of the Famous Players-Lasky production company during World War I]; and Marshall as a young drama student at Santa Clara College. Posed scene shots and character studies include images of Bebe Daniels, Wanda Hawley, Edward Everett Horton with Ethel Grey Terry, Harry Houdini, Mae Murray, and Wallace Reid. Of note is an autographed publicity photo of the stars affiliated with the Triangle Film Corporation, including Douglas Fairbanks, Sr.; scenes from the early Chinese American film, Lotus Blossom (1921), with Lady Tsen Mei [born as Josephine Augusta Moy] and a mainly Chinese cast; location shots of The Covered Wagon (1923), including Marshall depicted in costume with a Native American child; Marshall in costume in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923); scenes from Victor Fleming's Law of the Lawless (1923); and a candid photo of director James Young with Marshall in costume as Fagin while filming Oliver Twist (1916) on location in Pasadena. Clippings with half tone photographs and caricatures of Marshall are scattered throughout the album.
