Includes pre- and post-Broadway engagements at the Shubert-Belasco Theatre (Washington, D.C.).

  • Programs for the Broadway production include advertising for Samuel Lang Gowns and Hats, with a photograph of performer Frances Williams in her costume for the musical The New Yorkers, a gown designed by Lang for that show. Wanda Lyon, a performer in The wonder bar, which also used evening clothing designed by Lang, is mentioned.
  • Item 13 is a program for a 1931 production at the Liverpool Empire Theatre, with book and lyrics by Rowland Leigh and music by Robert Katscher, starring Carl Brisson.
  • Item 14, a program for the Shubert-Belasco Theatre (Washington, D.C.), contains advertising for an upcoming appearance by Mae West in The constant sinner (also known as Babe Gordon), with a cover photograph of West.
