- Depictions of some of the activities of professional keyboardist and Boy Scout scout master Harry E. Jones from the 1940s to the 1970s, consisting of studio portraits and performance shots of Jones, probably used for publicity purposes (ca. 1950s-1970); group portraits showing Jones with his wife (ca. 1959), his wife and another couple (ca. 1959), and Boy Scout officials (1960, 1967); and candid shots of Jones at Boy Scout camps (Troop 29, New Brunswick, New Jersey), with youth baseball teams, and during an undated club appearance by Count Basie and his Orchestra (ca. 1950s-1960s).

- Harry Edward Jones, born in 1897 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was an African American professional keyboardist and a scout master for the Boy Scouts of America. In 1936, Jones founded the first Boy Scout troop for African Americans, Troop 29, based in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
