  • The Mr. Strauss of the title is the composer, Johann Strauss, Sr., whose statue in Austria comes to life when it is outraged viewing the devastation caused to his homeland by an army of mechanical soldiers called the Screwballs. Playing his Radetzky march (Radetzky-Marsch) on his violin, he leads them to their destruction.
  • The photographs are numbered and include the prefix M.M.11, the "M.M." probably a designation for the "Madcap Models" film series.
