Summary
The experience of the vast Patagonian horizon - whose human and geopolitical contexts are in rapid transformation - constitute the foundations of the work of Mónica Giron (San Carlos de Bariloche, 1959). Through the presentation of the landscape and the world as a field of metaphors for unexpected questions of a sensitive nature, open, ethical and moral, Giron forms a body of works and actions that unfolds in her exhibitions and seminars. She observes the landscape, architecture or art, and the capacity of their forms - and in consequence humans - to focus or lose information, energy, knowledge and power of expression. Most of the time her work turns in installations, objects and analysis of shapes, drawings, watercolors and site-specific projects. The catalog presents her more recent work and includes her most recent creations, ranging from sculptural objects, digital meshes and 3D models. All of them explore modalities of prints offering technology such as 3D printing and two-dimensional prints.
