Summary

Province of Santander. Second Spanish Republic. Vega, a courageous and determined young woman, must leave the soft meadows in Vega de Pas where she grew up, and ones she loves so much, to go work in Madrid. In Madrid she works as a nanny for a wealthy bourgeois family. A large number of servants live along with the Vaudelets in their house next to the Retiro Park, and all of them cautiously hide unspeakable secrets. While Vega struggles to find her way and get used to her new life in the capital, Madrid faces the beginnings of the Civil War and a strange atmosphere.

Todos ellos esconden secretos inconfesables que guardan con recelo. Mientras Vega pelea por abrirse paso y habituarse a la vida en la capital, la ciudad de Madrid sufre los comienzos de la Guerra Civil y se respira en ella un ambiente enrarecido.
