Summary

The book presents a panorama of artist Iole de Freitas (Brazil 1945) work and language, over 40 years, in images, texts and other materials that precede or accompany the process of creating her works. These are studies, schemes, sketches, notes and drawings. For the construction of the book, Iole immersed herself in her personal collection, today deposited in the archive of the Institute of Contemporary Art (IAC), in São Paulo. Among the materials, more than ten thousand pieces produced between 1972 and 2018, in which are present the primordial interest for the body and the reinvention of space.
