- Biography (1910-1992) of Mexican schoolteacher and beauty pageant winner who became Miss Mexico in 1928 and shot her bigamist husband to death a year later. Narrates events of her early life and whirlwind relationship with military man who hid his past from her. Focuses heavily on circumstances of crime itself and proceedings of trial in which she was absolved on grounds of passion and besmirched honor. Amply illustrated with photographs that appeared in tabloid papers of time.
