- "In 1947 Hy Zaret and Lou Singer were commissioned by Ted Cott, program director for radio station WNEW, to write a series of songs on racial understanding and Americanism. They wrote the twelve "Little songs on big subjects" which made broadcasting history. The original recordings were produced by Ted Cott for WNEW. In commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the "Little songs," a new record album in the contemporary idiom called "It could be a wonderful world" was released in 1967"--Insert.
