Summary

A scrapbook consisting of 16 black and white, 8 x 10 inch photographs, some with identifying labels, of stills from the short film Listen to Larry (1940) directed by Leslie Roush, produced by Paramount Pictures (as a Paramount headliner), featuring Larry Clinton and his orchestra, Helen Southern (real name: Helen Yvonne Englert Blaum ; also known as Helen Warren), Terry Allen, and Jimmy Curry.
"Larry Clinton, familiarly known to his syncopation subjects as the old 'Dipsy Doodler,' leads his orchestral personnel in this musical Headliner for some rousing rounds of modern melody making. The recital runs the jazz gamut from Maestro Clinton's own composition, 'Study in Surrealism' through the Fosterian gem, 'I Dream of Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair' with stop offs for renditions of 'Well, All Right' and 'What's the Matter with Me.' Terry Allen, Jimmy Curry and Helen Southern accommodate with vocal selections ... " (Motion picture herald, November 2, 1940)
