- Summary
- The exhibition is part of a program of exhibitions that seeks to build relationships between the collection of the Pinacoteca and other related institutions through a selection of paintings, sculptures and drawings - unpublished or little seen by the general public- from the collection of the National Historical Museum, an institution linked to the Ministry of Culture. Includes works by Leandro Joaquim (1738-1798), Manoel de Araújo Porto-Alegre ( 1806-1879) and João Baptista da Costa (1865-1926), among others. Also noteworthy are works by Johann Moritz Rugendas (1802-1858), one of the most important traveling artists who visited Brazil during the 19th century, exhibited along with other works of art from the collections of the Pinacoteca de Sao Paulo (Pina _)
