- This catalog tells the story of the Museo del Siglo XIX, its collections, its contributions to the knowledge of the period and its innovative pedagogical work. Likewise, by means of decorative objects, pieces of clothing, paintings and sculptures, the dynamics of a commercial elite that, in the framework of a national project of progress and civilization, introduced foreign models that transformed daily life between 1880 and 1930. "El Museo Nacional de Colombia opens it doors to the del Museo del Siglo XIX, to highlight that the responsibility of the care of its collections entrusted to it in 2011 remains active and in force until the reopening of their new headquarters in the downtown area of Bogota takes place in the coming years."
