The seven outsize linocuts illustrating various extracts of Lorca's text were stolen and remain untraced to this day. This new reduced-size edition has been printed from line-blocks which reproduce the original linocuts engraved by the artist in 1982. The 1995 edition has been hand-set in 24 point Romulus (a typeface designed by Jan Van Krimpen) and printed on Zerkall mouldmade paper in a signed and numbered edition of eighty copies. The translation of Lament for the death of a bullfighter by A.L. Lloyd was originally published by Heinemann in 1937, and it is here complete.
