- Summary
- Oshun features a male voice chanting accompanied by a rhythmic drumming. Sleepers awake and begin to move to the rhytmic chanting. They are wearing bright yellow flowing dresses and head scarves. They are joined by male dancers waving swords. Apalencado features dancers in yellow and blue dresses and bare-chested male dancers, dancing in unison, kneeling and clapping. Chanting, rhytmic drumming. A solo male dancer and then other male dancers manipulating long sticks of wood. Congo is a very short piece and features two men wearing masks and who seem to be on the verge of violent conflict. The other dancers move around them.
