- Summary
- Collection consists of three candid shots of songwriter Bobby Sharp backstage during the production of James Baldwin's play "Blues for Mister Charlie" (1964), with cast members Diana Sands and Anne Wedgeworth, and actor Larry Blyden. Sharp is shown holding a 45 rpm special tribute record of his composition "Blues for Mister Charlie." James Baldwin is not depicted.

His most notable song was "Unchain My Heart," which was a hit recording for singer Ray Charles in 1961 and the focus of a publishing rights lawsuit that Sharp won in the early 1970s. His father was concert tenor Louis Sharp.
